Ryo and Lin. [ of course. ] Thank you, for asking after us. [ that first, but - he doesn't seem to mind, closing the book he's got and setting it down. ]
As for what happened... it's alright, I don't mind. We were all compelled onto a ferry that took us out to another island - a tiny one, with just a box on it that we were supposed to stick our hands in. There was no way off the island by the time we all came to besides it, so... we did. Then we were all knocked out, and woke up on a space ship, where they had us complete some 'team building exercises'. Rigged games, really, with bloody consequences.
I know some of the others have found weird things in their exploring, but I didn't think they felt compelled to go - it was just by chance. This wasn't like that.
...I wonder if things gained are akin to things suffering - for you two, that phone call activity sounds like it might've been painful, at least in the unbearably trite kind of way. And then injuries, and... now, whatever happened to us.
[ he's thoughtful for a moment, now, drumming his fingers against his thigh. ]
Ours didn't bring us anything - short of pain and suffering. I guess a few items, at the end, but that's different than an entire location becoming available.
Mm. And we didn't have any of our things with us, either, so there's no sense in telling others to stay vigilant or be prepared in that regard. It might be truly random.
Look for fallacies where you can find them. [ because, ultimately, that's what got them through the puzzles. ] I was able to solve the puzzle we were supposed to all be injured by at the beginning with minimal casualties because I caught onto a loophole. Expect unfair treatment at every corner.
...And put as much trust in the people you're with as you physically can. I don't know if everyone else will have to do something similar or not, but Ryo and Akira definitely leaned on trust for theirs.

The first aid kit, and the harpoon gun. Both things we found on the trip, at one point or another.
[ no magic ]

I suppose a first aid kit is useful to have.

After all the injuries that keep occurring, definitely... Overall, it seems like the point of this entire thing was just to inflict more suffering.
