I spoke with all of them, in a "group chat." They said little, so I imagine you are right.

Just another part of their job, I guess. Petty annoyance unfortunately isn't a bad form of torture.

That feels like the direction they're taking for now, but I guess there's always time for them to change things up and surprise us.

I can't say I trust their intentions, but then, I do not give my trust easily.

"We want to make your stay terrible" is relatively straightforward as far as intentions go, at least.
