It really doesn't matter either way. As you can see, I clearly cannot wield this thing by physical force alone. The person it belongs to can sharpen it when they get it back.
Not exactly. If it came down to it, I could use it, clumsily, probably injuring myself in the process. But it is...I prefer to not be parted with it.

Creation is a talent inherent to all my people. Normally, it would take but a thought; it is more difficult, without my usual capabilities, but I am hardly ignorant of the basic construction of objects. Simply unused to needing to work in such a way.

It is the most infuriating aspect. I suppose intended to create an equal field, and though I must admit that my full power would be rather problematic for anyone who intended to kill me, it isn't as though anyone's sword arm has been reduced to uselessness.
'Tis somewhat uneven, is it not. Even unarmed, someone trained in physical combat ought to manage well enough, while those of primarily magical or technological means find themselves at a distinct disadvantage.

It's needed. If not for combat, for show. But I've grown accustomed to it and adapted. Believe you me, no one on the space station ever thought me an easy target.

[he leads her to the armory! where, along with the weaponry that can't be removed from here (and accompanying note), there are also sheaths and sword accessories. emet-selch takes up one of the larger ones, holding it up.]
I was able to remove one of these, despite the weaponry remaining where it is. And as there shall be no need to carry the blades anywhere else... I believe we may repurpose materials as needed.
