One of the staff mentioned something to me. It is possible to request to see one's contract. It is not immediate, so I have yet to see mine, but I believe it may provide some clarity on the terms. I would suggest inquiring about it.
[she considers the question for a moment, chewing on her lip.]
I do not ever think it advisable to trust anonymous strangers outright. The Avatars, at the station, were ultimately trustworthy, but I certainly did not take them at their word early on, nor do I regret that. [also they tried to feed them to a furby but she's not bringing that up.]
However...at least from a few of them, I get the impression of someone who is worth speaking to and cautiously giving the benefit of doubt. I have a hunch they may be in a similar position of coercion and trying to help, but I cannot give any evidence in support.
[ he thinks over his tea as she speaks, not interjecting until she's finished. ]
...For what it was worth, last time our camp advisors were like us. People who had been brought back to do this all over again. They worked with us, in their own way.
[ at least the trend of generally being helpful is nice, though who knows if it'll hold. it would be nice to be able to trust them, and each other. ]
With that in mind, I think your instincts may be right. Even if I have to reserve judgment for now.

[ he lifts his drink, but doesn't quite take a sip, frowning. ]
How much do you believe the staff here?

Virgo is awful, but everyone else I've spoken with has been decent. I do find Gemini especially reasonable.

[ was virgo the one that threatened to eat people. a couple of them seemed pretty difficult in general. ]
But perhaps they are more helpful in private.
