If they are I’d be completely floored. But they said I should look up constellations, and like I said, it’s a gap in my knowledge. I don’t mind doing it.
Four of them are animals, although I guess most of them when talking to Aquila. Their constellation is a bird, Vulpecula's is a fox I believe, Cetus is a whale or a sea monster and Lepus is a hare.
The other four... Orion's a hunter, sometimes shown hunting Lepus apparently? Virgo's part of the Zodiac whatever that is, there's something here about a Maiden which is hilarious. Aquarius is one of those Zodiac things too. Something to do with want.
Annnd.... Gemini is twins or something?

There's a lot of layers to this, honestly.
[ tl;dr. ]
Nothing at all? Not even founding documents or something?
It could do, but for the moment I'm grasping at straws with them. Lepus and Orion could be connected by a shared connection in their constellations. Gemini could be a twin.
Nothing concrete, but things to keep on eye out for as we talk to them more. Some are more forthcoming that others with their personalities, likes and dislikes.
[ nods. ]
Sometimes to keep an eye out for as I work my way through then. A few pairs of eyes are better than just the one.
Dipping a toe in rather than diving in head first is better, yes. There’s a couple that are quite… open and easier to talk to, I find. But I wouldn’t delude myself that any of them are being especially forthcoming with details about themselves.
Asking why they were assigned the constellations they were might not be a bad start though.
Yes, though there might be no answer. Still, I do find Gemini and Vulpecula quite pleasant to talk to, even if there are few questions I can ask them about themselves.
I’m curious at least, even if the answer is a resounding “secret”. I’ve been able to ask them a few things about deals and how things work in this place… and I know one of them quite enjoyed being invited to check out the rotating locations.
It’s a bit awkward early on, feeling out the anonymous people in our midst.

I thought perhaps I could find something about the hotel, or the host. So far, I have had no luck.

[she shakes her head.]
I cannot say I have been exhaustive, however. [in other words i have not yet asked.]
