Hunches, rather than solid evidence based assumptions. But if the bell clue was pointing to someone being framed -- presumably Bucky -- then I would expect the culprit to be quite different.

The jacket was the one that looked like the washing machine could've damaged it. Honestly? Maybe the boots were someones, but just because the boots match someone's shoe size doesn't mean that someone with smaller feet can't wear them.

Ultimately, whatever we knew wasn’t enough to put the whole story together. I wonder if us buying the clue just complicated matters, and distracted us from putting other evidence together to make a clearer picture.
I am suspecting you are right. Some of us have been discussing not spending the tickets on it. Though in the moment, it is hard to say to those who cared for the one who died and those who care for the ones under suspicion that it does not matter.
Yes, I’ve heard a couple of people mention it. I’m unwilling to keep losing or asking for tickets for clues that seem to be muddying the water rather than clearing it.
It may have to be case by case, but no one’s ever going to be entirely happy.
