The fact Aikawa used his script to make someone forget memories of that night feels suspicious to me. But pinpointing it after we'd had such open discussion of events on Thursday day would've been incredibly difficult, like Sheila pointed out.
All someone had to do to avoid detection was not offer information and stay quiet if their memories didn't align.
It feels like a risky path regardless, given that everyone remembers things slightly differently. I'm assuming the memory in question would be a huge and obvious thing to have forgotten, but we'd have to pinpoint it first.
Which is something we list out in detail at the start. I doubt anyone would come forward if their memories were wrong, itβd put a lot of pressure on them. Or at least, suspicion.
β¦ Unless the purpose was to make someone think there was someone at curfew when there wasnβt. Was that something the script could do, or was it just memory erasure?
