I do. I've always found it to have been a mistake, to avoid those conversations.

If he was not in his right mind, the problem we face will be different than the one I was preparing for.

I expect some of us will be less prepared for the eventuality in which he was, so I suppose that between us, we shall be ready for either.

I like...feeling that it is not a futile exercise to put my trust in particular individuals.

But critical to that exercise is knowing that I know when they would and would not act, and...I do not.

Within the Prism... such a thing was difficult, yes, but still needed. One needed to bear in mind that such knowledge could not be relied upon, and simply trust them regardless, while still acknowledging they could have been twisted by a force beyond their control.

It is not an easy exercise. Outside of that situation, however, I would think it is more critical to ask-- would the people you put your trust in tell you the truth.

Then, should it not prove forbidden, that shall be enough.

Should it be so-- reading them is more necessary than knowing they would or would not act. Picking up on what signs they may attempt to give.
