[He's ready to leave it be, since Harrow seems like a pretty private person. But then he gets hit by the starglitter too, and Harrow is going to see one hell of a memory.]
---
The first part of the memory is over here in a thread, but when he is tumbling into the void in this comment, the memory shifts away from Tsurumaru and to another place entirely...
He falls into an inky darkness, and he's actually surprised when he finally drops against a flat surface. This place seems like a void of nothingness, how could it have a floor? And it's not exactly 'darkness', is it? Rin can see himself just fine, even though there's no visible light source here. It's just a place, with nothing in it but Rin himself, and that puts him on edge.
Rin pushes himself to his feet and looks around frantically, trying to find anything else in this empty space. He feels it before he sees it though, it's impossible to miss the burning heat of the blue flames of Satan. And as he turns to face the person there with him, he's met with, he only has one thing on his mind:
The figure- surrounded in flames, lit up like a blue sun- just smirks as he walks closer. "Me? I think you know. Did you think you'd already faced me? That you'd beaten me? Not a chance! You merely suppressed me."
As the other steps closer, Rin gasps and takes a step back. He knows that face. It's one he sees every morning in the mirror.
The other, still grinning, says, I am you. You have been holding down your very self."
The figure raises up his arms, and the blindingly-hot fire starts to swell. Rin can only lift up his arms to protect himself from the heat. "And now it's finally my turn! So get lost!"
Rin stays standing against the heat though. He doesn't burn away to nothingness like the other figure is expecting. That person is strong, but so is Rin. He can handle a little fire. "I can't do that! You tried to kill everyone before, and you'll do it again!"
Everyone, asleep in their rooms and curfew places...it wouldn't be just one murder, it would be a slaughter! Even if Rin's fire can only last for ten minutes right now, that's more than enough time for this demon to burn the whole town to the ground. And Rin can't let that happen.
So he fights back. He stays standing, glaring at the demon. The demon merely chides him in return, saying, "You're so weak. All you worry about is being nice and protecting others! I can't believe a weakling like you suppressed me all this time! But I've had enough! You've held back my rage for 16 years, but no longer!"
The demon rushes at Rin with a powerful, fiery punch. Rin has no fire to fight back with right now, but he catches that fist, wincing as he feels the fire burn his palm. In return, the demon lets out a shrill laugh, looking unhinged and drunk on power. "I am power itself! The strong rule this world! That's the law of nature, isn't it? So it's time for you to die!"
The fight feels like it drags on forever, even though it only lasts a couple minutes. The demon attacks, and Rin defends. Each punch comes at him so quickly that he barely has time to block or dodge the hot fires of Hell itself. They burn, and for someone who is normally fireproof it hurts in a way Rin hasn't felt before. It takes everything to keep from screaming in pain.
But eventually the tide turns. The demon is strong, but he runs out of power quickly, flickering out like the flame he was born from. Soon Rin lands the deciding punch, which sends the demon sliding across the ground.
"I'm not weak!" Rin is out of breath, but he still manages to yell at his demon half. "My 16 years of life are my own! So I will protect them! I won't give you this body!"
The flames of Satan start to die down, and eventually the powerful demon in Rin's heart is left as only a glowing pair of eyes. "...oh? Then that's all for now."
Rin seems surprised by how easily the demon accepted defeat, but the next words send a chill down his spine. "But listen: I am Satan's child. I cannot escape my power. Do not forget your own words, and do not forget that I will always be here, waiting for my chance to burn you away."
And Rin is falling once more, out of the void, and back towards a voice calling out his name, and a tragedy that is just the start of a horrible weekend of death and loss.
[Rin is a little shaken by the memory. Though he's had time to try to come to terms with what happened, seeing it like that definitely is a punch to the gut for him. He's squeezing his eyes shut long before the memory fades, trying to force out the sounds of that horrible laughter and the way Tsuru's voice had dropped to a whisper before death.
It's horrible, but it's the past. He's strong, he can do this.]
...yeah. It was all one big accident. I didn't know the other 'me' would even try to take over my body like that until it actually happened.
I mean, I guess it's always possible? 'He' is still there in me, and I can still here him making shitty comments all the time. But I've been training for months in how to keep him locked away, even without the magic seal on my heart. And Hua Cheng already said he'd look out for me here too. If something goes wrong, he'll know how to handle it.

I'll be alright.

That was...the place with the daemons? That was why you killed someone?
