[after trial, harrow can be found near the pool, sitting on the edge and dipping her feet into the cold water, lost in thought. she looks up when rupert approaches, her expression turning into something like a grimace after a moment.]
I know that back at the school, he defended himself when someone tried to kill him, but I've never seen him in this situation before, so I can't say whether or not he would have ordinarily done that. That being said, though...
[after a thoughtful pause:]
The way that he kind of... seemed to calm down, I guess, after the verdict was read makes me think he was being influenced by something. I'm going to talk to him later, and he said he would explain, so - hopefully he actually can talk about it.
I do intend to speak with him myself, but perhaps you are better positioned to get a sense of what we're up against. [she frowns slightly.] Defending one's self and choosing Flayn as a target are two separate matters. Then again, who knows what his hostage may mean to him.

...Yeah, I'm sorry this happened, too. But - all we can do for now is wait to see what happens tomorrow, and then try to learn more when the next week comes around.
