[ he's pulling what remains of his coat off, clicking his tongue - the shirt under it is soaked with blood, but nothing seems to be actively bleeding now that he's been healed. The arm is still pretty stiff. Spreading it out on the bed, standing over it and fussing over a large hole in the back, right through the peacock. ]
[chewing her lip as she watches him do it, but then she'll slip out. and come back in a bit with a pen and one of the weird drawings from the employee lounge. it's a series of triangles that kind of look like a bird.]
[ by the time she gets back he's apparently, in maybe something of a relief, given up on doing anything with the coat for the time being, flopped backwards onto the bed while Frumpkin kneads biscuits into his thigh. ]
[ Taking it, sort of lifting his leg so Frumpkin jumps off. He does not understand this kitty cat gesture at all. Reaching over to take the card and looking it over. ]
[ she will never know what it could possibly be then ............ ]
We were in a ... labyrinth, they called it. Just me and Marie at first. Ran into two girls, going for some sort of treasure. One started immediately with the whole calling me a demon and shooting a gun at me, the other one was a bit more timid. Marie didn't care for that, we got in a scuffle. Suppose I learned my lesson from last time, I ended up killing the one that was being weird about the whole tiefling thing. In my defense, didn't think she'd go down that easy. She's the one that shot me in the arm and then stabbed me after I got the gun away from her.
Nah. Think Tsuru knew one, Claude the other. [ Tsuru's republican friend ... ] We ended up all together after a bit. Then of course, that's when we ran into you.
It wasn't-- Didn't feel exactly real. And your ... I suppose puppet self didn't come after me or anything, if it makes you feel better. Might want to have a chat with Marie.
Ah, some guy I didn't recognize-- Silver hair, smug expression. He's the one that got my horn. Son of a bitch. I liked that one! It had the better curve to it.
Is it actually bone ... ? It'll regrow on its own eventually, too. They don't start out this size.
[ he doesn't know his own anatomy. Reaching up to feel it? ]
Everyone looked a bit weird is all. Monsteresque, I suppose. Mikazuki got beheaded about instantly and you-- I know you aren't so easy in a fight. I didn't touch you, for the record. And after we beat everyone it all just sort of ... disappeared. We were in a clinic, or something. Hospital. Got this: [holding up one of the little glowing star lockets like Lup has. ] and that [ nodding to ......... miku ...... ] and a healing spell which I was saving, and then forgot to use.
Doesn't it sound like Claude's dream? The dream of people he knows, but they seemed fake? [...] I'm glad you saved the healing spell. I don't mind doing a task; keep it for if you get hurt at night.
Sort of ... I don't think it was exactly the same, but I'll ask him what he thinks of it.
Oh. Ah. Well. I don't have it anymore. [ HE TRULY JUST WASTED IT. IT WAS A USE IT OR LOSE IT and I just fuckin' forgot. ] But I have my one of own powers, for what it's worth?
Anyway, [ he says, rapidly ] then I ended up in er-- Caleb's tower thing. He was a bit more chatty than you were, until the fireballs, as is typical I think, and yadda yadda, I had this knife thing I was supposed to use, so I stabbed him, and then I "died" a few times so on and so forth, Lucien stole my eyeball and choked me out, Marie has very bad aim, on and on, Caleb shows up again and has better fireball aim this time, erm, I finish ... stabbing him ... and it ended up alright! Everything was good. So there's that.
[THAT WAS A TERRIBLE SUMMARY. you can't just yadda yadda the whole thing. ]
It wouldn't have helped much! It was gone by the time we left the labyrinth, and at that point I only had the eye and there's not so much you can do about it. See?
[ He reaches up to pull at it gently, over the moon-shaped scar. it doesn't open at all. ]
[ He mumbles like `sure I could just learn to do that` but then he's busy being a bit surprised by the hug and the love yous. Immediately wrapping her back into a tighter hug, putting his chin on top of her head. ]
Awful. What monster would assign you such a terrible, onerous task. I can't believe you have to do such a thing. The rat bastard who'd give you this should be pushed in a well.

It's getting weird, Frumpkin ...

[she will hand him the weird drawing, which has written on it in beautiful calligraphy Get Well Soon.]
This is for you.

At least your task doesn't seem too hard ... ?

This is just the first part of it.

Sorry. Anything I can help with?
no subject
Yes, but first, would you tell me what happened?
no subject
Only if you stop hovering and sit down.

[she will sit down...she will not taste the water from his mouth.]

[it's my fault, I put in the heal request so fast.]
And now I have to do this awful task, for nothing.
